Flora and Fauna.
A couple of weeks ago I attended part of the Berks Photographic Society’s Annual Conference. Part of the conference included a very talented macro photographer Mike Moats. He had brought several items to shoot and here are a few results.
A few weeks ago I was invited to speak at TEDx. If you are not familar with TED’s mission it is“ideas worth spreading”. The TEDx program is designed to give communities, organizations and individuals the opportunity to stimulate dialogue through TED-like experiences at the local level. If you are interested in learning about my photographic journey, please check out the link to the video, but be forewarned, it’s 18 minutes long: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VmzuwjH3iVA
Last week I was invited to Olympus America’s corporate office to present to their photo club. I had a great time and the courtesies extended to me were greatly appreciated. It was a full house and a great audience. A special thank you to Kathy Anderson (club president) & Peter Ewen for making all of the arrangements.
This past weekend, I had the opportunity to lead a Photo Workshop/Expedition to the Golden Age Air Museum in Bethel, PA. The airfield and museum has an amazing collection of old planes and antique cars. The owner and volunteers for the museum went well beyond our expectations, as far as being accommodating and creating a fun filled environment. The Expedition consisted of airborne planes, stationary planes, volunteers dressed in period clothing and professional model, Tamantha Yanders, who had to endure some challenging moments. A special thanks to Dan’s Camera City and Jason Mahoney, a very talented photographer, who initiated and arranged the event. And a BIG thanks to Olympus for sponsoring the expedition.
