American Parkway Bridge

With the recent opening of the new American Parkway bridge, I thought I would check it out. The upper part was nice. But I thought the real attraction was under the belly and the surrounding area. All images shot with the Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark II and a combination of 40-150mm f2.8 PRO & the 12-40mm f2.8 PRO.

One World Trade Center (from inside)

Here are a few more images from my foggy visit to the World Trade Center. However, these were taken from inside.

One World Trade Center

As I noted in the previous post, I was in New York a few weeks ago for the Olympus Visionary Summit. In addition to the Brooklyn & Manhattan  bridges, we also shot the One World Trade Center building (aka The Freedom Tower) the next day. Again, we had a lot of fog to deal with. Here are a few of the shots of the exterior of the building. All of the images were taken with the Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mk II. I used a combination of the Pro series lenses, including the 7-14mm f2.8, 12-40mm f2.8 and the 40-150mm f2.8. Many of the shots were straight out of the camera with the built-in “Dramatic Tone” filter (one of my favorites).

A Foggy Night in Brooklyn

A couple of weeks ago I was in New York for the Olympus Visionary Summit. After dinner, a group of us decided to head over to the Brooklyn Bridge Park to try to get some shots of the Brooklyn & Manhattan Bridges. Unfortunately, when we arrived it was socked in with fog. At first I thought there was no hope for any nice shots. The more I looked at the environment the more I liked what I was seeing. These bridges have been photographed many times. However, not with fog. You decide. I was quite happy with the results.

Fall’s Final Finale

Over the last week and a half I tried to capture fall’s final colors of the year. These images were taken at Bake Oven Knob & the Lehigh Parkway. The images from BOK were taken with the Olympus OM-D E-M10 & the the images from the LP were taken with the OM-D E-M10 Mk II. We will have to wait another year for the next round of fall images.

Autumn’s Peak

This past week I ventured up to the Poconos with the specific intent of capturing the fall colors. Mother Nature did not disappoint. The vibrancy of the colors this year were some of the best I have seen.

Autumn’s Start

I am probably a little late with this post. I took these images a little over a week ago, just when all of the leaves were starting change. All of the images were shot with the Olympus OM-D E-M1 and the 14-150 f4.0-5.6 MkII lens.

ITZ-A-CON

A few weeks ago I made a last minute decision to stop by an event titled ITZ-A-CON in Allentown, PA. The event was described as a day of fun for Cosplay, Characters, Steampunk, Renaissance, Fantasy, Sci – Fi, and other genres. The people I met were more than happy to be photographed and allowed me to pose them as I saw fit. It was a colorful event. But, I liked the images better monochromic. All images were shot with the Olympus OM-D E-M1 and the 12-40mm f2.8 Pro lens.

Jim Thorpe Photo Expedition 2015

This past weekend we had another sell out Dan’s Camera City workshop/photoshoot sponsored by Olympus in beautiful Jim Thorpe, PA. Mother Nature started us off with a little bit of rain in the morning. But she cooperated as the day went on. We had a great group of very creative photographers on the excursion. We had private access to the Old Jail, our own train car and amazing opportunities in the town. All-in-all we had a great day and great fun! All my images below were shot with the Olympus OM-D E-M1.

Saucon Valley Conservancy 2015

A few weeks ago, we had the annual SVC barn/workshop/photoshoot in Hellertown, PA. We had a great group of photographers and some wonderful young docents/models. We were also granted access to some new locations with some amazing artifacts.
