Jim Thorpe Photo Expedition 2015
This past weekend we had another sell out Dan’s Camera City workshop/photoshoot sponsored by Olympus in beautiful Jim Thorpe, PA. Mother Nature started us off with a little bit of rain in the morning. But she cooperated as the day went on. We had a great group of very creative photographers on the excursion. We had private access to the Old Jail, our own train car and amazing opportunities in the town. All-in-all we had a great day and great fun! All my images below were shot with the Olympus OM-D E-M1.
Jim Thorpe Expedition
Two weekends ago I had the honor of leading a workshop in Jim Thorpe, PA for Dan’s Camera that was sponsored by Olympus. The event was sold out, the group was fantastic and we were able to experience some amazing photographic opportunities. We had private access to the “Old Jail”, our own private rail car and mother nature treated us to some of the best fall colors I have ever seen.
Jim Thorpe – All A Board
A couple of weeks ago during InVision Photo Festival, I was invited to photograph with a group from Olympus in Jim Thorpe. They made arrangements for us to travel on the Lehigh George Scenic Railway and afterwards, we walked through the beautiful town. We had an amazing time and it was great to meet all of the Olympus photographers who traveled here for the event. We were catching the tail end of the fall foliage and were not disappointed.
About two weeks prior to the trip I received my new Olympus OM-D E-M1 and the day before the trip I received the brand new Zuiko 12-40mm f/2.8 PRO lens. This was the first time I had the two paired together and what a sweet combination it was.
Jim Thorpe Treasures
I was in Jim Thorpe last Saturday exploring some new treasures. I have been there several times in the past. But, I was introduced to some new locations this time. All of the following images were taken with the new Olympus OM-D EM-5. Let me say, this is one amazing piece of equipment! I was expecting a lot and I can tell you, it surpassed all of my expectations.
