As a follow up to yesterday’s post, here are the color shots.
The fair and agricultural show is held at the Allentown Fairgrounds in Allentown PA. It is operated by the Lehigh County Agricultural Society. It is one of the oldest fairs in the United States and one of the largest in Pennsylvania. The first fair was held in 1852. There are so many photographic opportunities. It is sometimes difficult to decide where to point the camera. This is part one of two posts. These images are all in color. The next post will be all black & white.
Located on the Allentown Fairgrounds, the Ritz is an iconic establishment that has been around for many generations. In my younger years, it was quite the “hangout” spot.
My shooting plan was to capture the image during the “Blue Hour”. This is the time during the day (morning and evening) when there is neither full daylight nor complete darkness. The time is considered special because of the quality of the light at this time of day.
