Vibrant New York

I was at my annual excursion to PDN in New York last week. Of course, while one is there, you have to do some street photography. If only there were more hours in the day.

Das Awkscht Fescht

Every year the town of Macungie, PA plays host to the largest car show east of the Mississippi. I have been photographing this for quite some time and I continually look forward to it. There is clearly no limit to the photographic options. Here are a few of my favorites from this years shoot.

Graffiti Alley, Philadelphia, PA

This is the third shoot I did with the photogs in Eastern PA. This is an amazing place. You gotta love the art & colors! However, this is not a location I would advice going by yourself.

Laurel Hill Cemetery

As part of the photo shoot I did with the photogs at Eastern State Penitentiary, we also went to Laurel Hill located in the North section of Philadelphia.Β Laurel Hill is one of the fewΒ cemeteries in the nation to be honored with the designation of National Historic Landmark, a title received in 1998.Β Numerous prominent people are buried at the Cemetery, including many of Philadelphia’s leading industrial magnates.Β General Meade and thirty-nine other Civil War-era generals reside here, in addition to six Titanic passengers. Laurel Hill celebrated their 175th anniversary this year (1836-201).

Eastern State Penitentiary, Philadelphia, PA

Last month I was invited to do some photography with a group of photographers from around the country. Our focus was on Eastern Pennsylvania. Our first stop was at the EasternΒ State Penitentiary, located in Philadelphia. I have photographed this location in the past & always enjoy the opportunity to shoot here.

Blue Heron Rockery

A couple of weeks ago a friend of mine told me about a Blue Heron Rockery in Bucks County, PA. It took some patience getting there, including some knee deep swamp water. But in the end it as worth it.
