Built-In GND: Does it really work??

Join me as I journey to the beautiful Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area to put my OM System OM-1 MkII’s innovative Live GND feature to the test. When faced with a scene that has a large dynamic range of light, photographers typically rely on graduated neutral density filters or capture a series of exposure bracketed shots for blending in post-processing. But what if your camera could handle it all internally? In this video, I’ll explore whether the OM-D MkII’s internal Live GND filter can effectively replace traditional methods. Will this computational photography feature allow us to travel lighter and simplify our workflow? Watch as I capture some amazing landscapes and reveal if this feature is a game-changer for photographers.

Also, check out my surprise wildlife encounter!!! 😲

Finding Compositions At Buttermilk Falls

Finding Compositions At Buttermilk Falls

As an outdoor nature & landscape photographer, winter can be difficult to find interesting and dynamic locations. In this video, I’ll share my experience finding this location and compelling compositions. This waterfall is located on the New Jersey side of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. I’ll share some of the tools I use with the OM System. In particular, the camera’s computational feature including the Internal Live ND Filter and the Handheld High Resolution mode.

Fall Colors in Patagonia

As many of you know, I had an incredible opportunity to spend a couple weeks in the Patagonia region of South America. To say it was amazing would be a complete understatement. It worked out that PetaPixel in conjunction with OM System wanted to do a story from this trip. The following is the article that was just published. I hope you enjoy the article as much as I enjoyed the adventure. Here is a link to the article:

Atmospheric Magic In Promised Land State Park

In this video, I am going to take you to Promised Land State Park (PA), an area I have wanted to get to and am glad I finally did. When I arrived at the park the temperatures were 5 degrees F below zero. As I started my hike, the weather was no longer a factor because I was presented with an enchanted beautiful environment. There was a blanket of clouds that created a magical ethereal effect. Between the cold temperatures and the water flowing, the affect that was created was mystifying. I hope you enjoy my journey through the frigid temperatures and to see the result of what I will say is my favorite image to date in 2023. Please check out the video & let me know your thoughts: https://youtu.be/6CHMVd0ThmY

Halloween

In keeping with the Halloween theme today, I thought I would post a few images from when I was hiking on a trail above Lehigh University. This area is know as the Lehigh Millennium Folk Arch and Art Enclave. And yes, they have been heavily edited.
