Hurricane Sandy, NJ

Hurricane Sandy did significant damage up and down the east coast. One area hit the hardest was Seaside Heights, NJ. I had heard about the devastation in this particular area and wanted to witness it myself. The police presence was much greater than I would have guessed. It was actually very difficult to photograph the area because of the police restrictions. I guess all total, it was a good thing they were there in force. Here are a few images from my visit which includes artifacts salvaged from various places on the former boardwalk. By way of an update, they have started the restoration work.

Let’s hope we can look at these photos as a sad but distant memory. Here is hoping these storms will be less and less frequent

Frank, I was in the Souther Ocean at the time and missed it but when I came home I saw the devastation-thank you for sharing these images! I love the Coca-Cola image!
