Hurricane Sandy, NJ

Hurricane Sandy did significant damage up and down the east coast. One area hit the hardest was Seaside Heights, NJ. It was actually very difficult to photograph the area because of the police restrictions. I guess all total, it was a good thing they were there in force. Here are a few images from my visit which includes artifacts salvaged from various places on the former boardwalk. By way of an update, they have started the restoration work.

Much to our surprise, the damage was not as bad as we had originally thought. Here are a few images from that day.
