A couple weeks ago I was in Whitehall, PA at Camp Geiger and witnessed an American Civil War reenactment. I arrived after they concluded some of their war enactments. So the images are mostly of relaxed camp time.

Golden Age Air Museum
This past weekend, I had the opportunity to lead a Photo Workshop/Expedition to the Golden Age Air Museum in Bethel, PA. The airfield and museum has an amazing collection of old planes and antique cars. The owner and volunteers for the museum went well beyond our expectations, as far as being accommodating and creating a fun filled environment. The Expedition consisted of airborne planes, stationary planes, volunteers dressed in period clothing and professional model, Tamantha Yanders, who had to endure some challenging moments. A special thanks to Dan’s Camera City and Jason Mahoney, a very talented photographer, who initiated and arranged the event. And a BIG thanks to Olympus for sponsoring the expedition.

The Roxy
The Roxy in Northampton, PA was a place I would periodically travel to in my younger days. It has always captivated me based on its architecture and, of course, the various concerts & movies I saw there. The Roxy opened as the Lyric in 1921 and fortunately they have continued to maintain it over the many years. My attempt was to capture the theatre with some daylight along with the “blue hour”.
Hurricane Sandy, NJ
Hurricane Sandy did significant damage up and down the east coast. One area hit the hardest was Seaside Heights, NJ. I had heard about the devastation in this particular area and wanted to witness it myself. The police presence was much greater than I would have guessed. It was actually very difficult to photograph the area because of the police restrictions. I guess all total, it was a good thing they were there in force. Here are a few images from my visit which includes artifacts salvaged from various places on the former boardwalk. By way of an update, they have started the restoration work.

Mercer Museum
This past weekend I traveled with the Lehigh Valley Photography Club to the Mercer Museum in Doylestown, PA. I have never been here before and I must say this is an amazing place. The building and the artifacts are just incredible. You could easily spend a full day here. This was my first travel with the LVPC. They were a great group of people and everyone was extremely nice. I look forward to the opportunity to do it again.
